The Union Catalogue of All TMUC library was developed by using Koha and Open Source Integrated Library Management System on cloud server. The purpose of this project was to integrate all libraries of TMUC and to discuss successful efforts in promoting the adoption of Koha in Pakistan, particularly the contributions from Koha‐Pakistan. A cloud base server was seat up for the purpose, after that Ubuntu Server was installed along with Koha latest version. The data migrations from the old database was done successfully both books and patrons records. In recent years, the concept of implementing an open‐source library management system has been coming to the fore in Pakistan. Pakistan Koha Community plays pivotal role in the development to free and Open Source adoption within Pakistan.
The environment is now being change due to the efforts of the Koha Community considerable over the last decades. Koha community in Pakistan and Asia
Koha-Pakistan was initiated by Mr Sher Afzal khan in October 2018, with the aim of developing, maintaining and promoting Koha in Pakistan and Asia-pacific. Before this Mr Sher Afzal contributed in the field of OSS both National and International forums. In this year Koha-Pakistan organized International Conference “Pakistan Koha-Con19 in Islamabad in which 08 countries experts, pioneer of koha participated.
